The opening ceremony of a 1,500-seated stadium in Merv village in Merv gengeshlik in Bairamali Etrap was held.

The football field of the new stadium framed with running tracks has an artificial turf which makes it possible to hold football matches, sports, recreation and cultural events and competitions in various sports in any time of the year.

1,500 spectators will watch what will be happening on the field in the shadow of the covered stands. There are fitness clubs, gyms, rooms for coaches, administrative staff, showers rooms and auxiliary rooms in the premises under the stands. There are a number of sports grounds and courts on the adjacent territory. Footpaths around the stadium and sports grounds are planted with trees and shrubs on both sides.

A cycle race, parade of athletes and sports competitions took place at the new stadium.
