In the sports world of the country another small star –Dinara Khallyeva from Turkmenabad has appeared. In order to become a bright star she has to do much but her first successes had others call close attention to her.

In the late past year in the Russian city of Nizhekamsk there was held the championship of world belt wrestling among athletes born in 1996-1997. At those representative competitions the combined team of girls from Turkmenistan composed of representatives of the famous Lebap School of wrestling has successfully performed. Our team has obtained 4 prizes of various classes.

And the most significant one-the gold medal was given to the senior former of Turkmenabad Dinara Khallyeva who performed in the weight class of 63 kilograms. In the final decisive bout with the Tajik sportswoman the main 3 minutes could not reveal winner. According to the rules so called unnamed bout was designated when opponents in a bent position grip each other from the belt and loses the one who opens her palms or misses the technique. In such cases, much depends not only on skill and agility but also on decision in combination with the ability of waiting a suitable moment. So, in 10 seconds Dinara after whistling gripped inside and cleanly overthrew the representative of Tajikistan over the shoulders and won the gold medal! Before it at the international tournament our countrywoman won also a bronze medal and by that she won two medals in Nizhekamsk.

Returning to her native city on the Amyderya, Dinara Khallyeva continued her successful performance. In January she became best in her own weight class in the traditional winter championship of Lebap in judo in memory of Faizullah Rozmedova among boys and girls born in 1997-1998. In early February she differed in the championship of adults in sambo in the velayat. Her bout with the experienced Rano Uzakova from Koytendagh etrap had become a feature of the competition. In the final Dinara Khallyeva took the upper hand in the persistent and strained bout by her scores. In the late same month this 16-year old slim girl in the championship of Lebap in kurash among adults demonstrated a real sensation. In the final nomination of 70 kilograms she showed a real bout for her countrywoman, master of sports of international class Maria Lohova, who in the final last year was awarded a silver medal in the world championship in this national sport in Istanbul. Dinara went surely ahead not excited with lofty titles of adult opponents. In the end she gained three “chala” (of equal strength “yuka” in judo), for which Maria could answer only with one score missing her scores in favour of the schoolgirl.

Only for three winter months Dinara could gain success in four different international wrestling: belt wrestling, judo, and kurash!

In the years of independence the famous school of female wrestlers has produced four champions of the world. Following Shirin Kubayeva the high title was gained by sambo wrestler Gulnar Khaytbayeva, Madina Babakuliyeva, and Gulbadam Babamyradova. In the person of Dinara Khallyeva, other prize winners of youth world and continental championships in various types of wrestling a worthy generation of sportswomen grows. And addressing congratulations to our leading sportswomen and their mentors on the occasion of the spring holiday we wish them more new victories!
