In the sports school No 5 of the administrative center of Lebap province in Turkmenabat, it was determined the winners and prize-winners of Turkmenistan on artistic gymnastics. Nearly 80 best gymnasts of the country took part in the contests. The participants were contesting for medals in five normative groups, beginning from sportsmen already having on their credit III adult grade and till master of sports group. Men competed in six disciplines – vault jump, exercises on rings, horizontal bar, parallel bars, vaulting horse and free exercises.

Best preparation was demonstrated by Lebap gymnasts, three times stepping up on top of the podium – S.Agamuradov (III grade), V.Klyshnikov (II grade) and G.Shukurov (master of sports). The rest two first places in men group were won by Ashgabat sportsmen – V.Hudaynazarov (I grade) and D.Amangulyev (candidate to master of sports).

Girls competed for medals in four disciplines – free exercises, vault jump, exercises on balance beam and uneven parallel bars.

Ashgabat sportsmen results – five wins over five possible ones. Golden prizes were gained B.Ovezova (III grade), А.Gayipova (II grade), S.Berdiyeva (I grade), М.Kuliyeva (candidate to master of sports) and Ye.Goloveshkina (master of sports).
