The spring horse racing season started at the equestrian sports complexes in the capital and regions of the country. The concerts of popular dance and folk groups, bagshis and artists, exhibition performances of sportsmen and arts and crafts exhibitions were arranged before the competition.

About a hundred of elite Ahalteke horses participated in 10 races at the equestrian sports complex in Ashgabat. 9 fast horses of 4 years old and older participated in the race for the longest distance – 2,400 metres. Gushganat (the jockey B.Berkeliev) were the first to finish. Its result is 2 minutes 51.1 seconds.
