The Asian Taekwondo Championship among adults and juniors (version ITF) is taking place these days in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, where Turkmen sportsmen are performing brilliantly. On the first day of the tournament, our martial arts masters won two silver and two bronze medals in the category of martial techniques (teul).



Orazmyrat Charyev and Annamyrat Goshaniyazov won the vice-champion title in the individual tournaments. Gaigysyz Atabaev won the bronze medal in the individual tournament. Our athletes, who performed in the team tournament, brought another ‘bronze’ to the treasury of sporting achievements of Turkmenistan.



The junior tournament of the Asian Taekwondo Championship, in which the Turkmen athletes won the largest number of medals: two gold, three silver and one bronze, was held on April 21.

Turkmenistan men’s team will join the competitions on April 22, and the juniors will compete for medals in martial techniques. The Asian Taekwondo Championship will finish on April 23.
