Turkmen Taekwondo athletes won 12 medals of the 7th Asian Taekwondo Championship (ITF) among juniors and adults, which is taking place in Kathmandu, Nepal. Within three days of the competitions, our athletes won two gold, five silver and five bronze medals!
Participants of the continental tournament, including 300 sportsmen from 29 countries are competing for the titles in different categories, including individual and team events as well as in teul. Our compatriots won leading positions in all categories in both junior and adult groups.
Thus, on April 22, Turkmen sportsman K. Annaev won a bronze medal in the individual events and our team won another bronze medal in the team tournament.
As was reported, on the first day of the competitions our athletes - O. Charyev, A. Goshaniyazov, G. Atabaev , G. Durdyev , Yu. Annaev and M. Kulanov won 10 medals, including two gold ones.
Our sportsmen will appear on the arena on the final day of the Asian Taekwondo Championship. We hope that our team will gain new awards.
