The ceremony of opening of the specialized library on horse breeding took place at the Turkmen Atlary State Association.
The representatives of the agricultural complex of Turkmenistan, professors and students of the higher educational institutions and journalists participated in the ceremony. Among the participants were the foreign guests - members of the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding, who arrived in our country to participate in the IV session of the organisation, the International Fair and the VI International Science Conference "Turkmen Horses and the World Art of Horse Breeding" devoted to the Turkmen Horse Day.
The depositories and reading halls of the modern specialized library occupy the whole floor of the Turkmen Atlary State Association building. There are electronic copies of rare books, special editions and journals in the library. Moreover, the library has the rich collection of printed materials, including valuable ones.
The library of the Turkmen Atlary State Association will be one of the world's biggest depositories of scientific and practical literature on horse breeding. Among the library materials are specialized publications on selection and breeding of horses, treatment and raising horses, training and preparation for horse racing.
