On ITF version Asian tae-kwon-do junior championship completed on April, 23, in capital city of Nepal – Kathmandu, our compatriots received 16 various kinds of medals, including gold ones.
One more good news came from Germany, where an international tournament on sambo took place. Here Turkmen residents could possess 9 medals – 6 gold and 3 silver.
It is also worth mentioning an international judo tournament for Cadets Cup, completed these days in Azerbaijani capital – Baku. Here Turkmenistan residents deserved 5 medals – 2 silver and 3 bronze ones.
Mass physical-sports and cultural-recreation actions under the motto “Health and happiness” in our country have gathered hundreds of thousands followers of healthy lifestyle.
Few days ago on the Kopetdag road the championship of Turkmenistan on cycle racing has started with the participation of teams from Ashgabat, Lebap and Dashoguz provinces. On the first day sportsmen contested in individual races with separate start for 27 km.
Cycle racing championship will continue by circle races. The competitions venue will be the race track of the Center of motor sports of the Ministry of internal affairs of Turkmenistan, where the participants will cover 30km long distance. On this very track the championship of Turkmenistan on motor sports on “Volkicar” race cars will take place on April 27.
Students that have defined the best volleyball team in men’s group also take an active part in mass sports actions. Here, the team of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan gained victory, winning in finals the representatives of the State institute of transport and communications. The team of the State architectural-construction institute is on the third place.
The national chess tournament with participation of 50 best masters of this sport from all regions and Ashgabat takes place these days in the administrative center of Lebap province. The winner and prize winners are defined by Swiss system in 11 rounds.
On April 26, in administrative centers of five provinces the competiotions on national kinds of sports – goresh, duzzum, yaglyka towusmak, etc will be conducted. The same day in the National institute of sports and tourism of Turkmenistan a scientific-practical conference will take place.
And the main sports events will take place on Sunday: on provincial and city hippodromes there will be organized measures on the occasion of the National holiday of the Turkmen racer, the main heroes of which will be unsurpassed by its beauty and gracefulness – “celestial” argamaks.
