On the eve of the nationwide solemnity – Holiday of the Turkmen horse, competitions on concur – one of Olympic kinds of sports, has taken place at International equestrian sports complex. Competitions have gathered more than tens of horses from Akhalteke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan, National equestrian sports center and Ministry of defense of Turkmenistan.

Present competitions consist of two phases, in which each sportsman had 4 minutes for presentation. In accordance with regulations, the rider with horse had to cross the route passing over 10 obstacles, maximal height of which in the first phase was 1 meters 10cm. At the second phase the contestants had a task to jump over 1m 20cm obstacles. The winner will be that rider who at the second phase receives the least penalty points and shows the highest speed.

Contests showed high mastery of riders at art of managing the racers, and those who, at their turn, once more confirmed that akhalteke is a horse that has not only wonderful physical condition, but also ability to hold equilibrium during jump over obstacle and landing. Not in vain the akhalteke breed horse is called a “celestial” horse.

Awarding on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan of the winners of concur contest, carried out in honor of the Turkmen racer day will take place on April, 27.
