VI International Scientific Conference entitled “Turkmen racer and world horse-breeding art” and specialized fair was opened in Ashgabat.
Over 150 companies, institutions and organizations from nearly 20 countries as well as national ministries and departments, higher educational establishments and Turkmen entrepreneurs present their stands and pavilions in the hall of the capital’s main expo-center.
Hundreds of foreign participants represent at the exhibition the business structures, equestrian associations and clubs, educational establishments and sport organizations, veterinary clinics and core industrial enterprises from France, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, Spain, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, People’s Republic of China, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Lithuania , Ukraine, Moldova, Iran, Pakistan and others.
Wide panorama of general exposition includes such sections as equestrian sport, pedigree breeding, and hippodrome activity, veterinary as well as articles for owners of a stud farm and riders – equipment, forage and food supplements, medical drugs, stock for stables, trappings, furs and blacksmith's articles.
In the theme of exhibition, great attention was paid to the issues of development of equestrian tourism as well as special education and training of highly professional staff for the sector.
Today, in the afternoon, VI International Scientific Conference entitled “Turkmen racer and world horse-breeding art” started its work. This forum organized by “Turkmen atlary” State Association hosted famous scientists, horse breeders, historians and ethnographers and other specialists – nearly 160 representatives from over 40 countries.
In the course of plenary session, it was delivered the reports of Turkmen specialists, where it was opened the best achievements of national horse-breeding from depth of history till our days, where glory of Akhalteke horses revived with new force.
Foreign participants of the forum, in turn, informed about activity of centers on Akhalteke horse breeding created in several countries, having invited the Turkmen colleagues for exchange of experience and practical groundwork.
Upon completion of plenary session, the conference participants continued the work on sections. So, sectional meeting on topic “Role of Akhalteke racer in the world horse-breeding” took place at the Turkmen Agricultural University. The second section was devoted to the issues of equestrian sport and tourism. This session was held at the National Institute of sports and tourism. The third section is presented with theme “Main directions of cooperation in horse-breeding sector”. This important issue was discussed in the conference hall of the State Association “Turkmen atlary”. In particular, reports on international significance of the Turkmen tribal horse-breeding have been delivered there.
Tomorrow an exhibition-fair devoted to the Holiday of the Turkmen racer, and International scientific conference “Turkmen horse and world horse-breeding art” will continue their work.
