Celebration in honor of Turkmen masters of martial art – taekwondo (ITF version) was held in the school for training of young Olympic competitors of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for sports. They demonstrated brilliant results at the Championship of Asia among juniors and adults taken place in the capital of Nepal – Katmandu. Success of our sportsmen is very impressive – 16 medals (2 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze). At that, in composition of our national team, our each compatriot returned Motherland with medal of Championship of Asia.


Such solid list of medals gave an opportunity to the national team of Turkmenistan in team event to be the third on the large space of Asian part of the planet. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea – motherland of this kind of eastern martial art won the first place.

It is worth mentioning the work of referees at the Championship of Asia, where chief coach of the national team of Turkmenistan, referee of international class Aydogdy Atabayev also took direct part in.
