54th International conference of Sport Group of Asian-Pacific broadcasting union started its work in the Turkmen capital. Over 60 delegates from 19 world countries arrived in Ashgabat for participation in the representative forum.
Major tasks of this forum, which is first held in Turkmenistan, are the discussion of issues of broadcast on national television of international sport competitions, taking place in foreign states as well as vital trends of further development of cooperation with Asian-Pacific broadcasting union. In particular, the possibilities of expansion the partnership, exchange of experience in the sphere of arrangement of direct broadcasting from largest sport competitions, training of staff for sport television journalism and others have been included into agenda of the conference. Special emphasis was made on practical activity and successive steps, being realized in the field of information policy with a view of further improvement of activity of national mass media.
