The presentation of the collected poems by the outstanding classic of Turkmen literature translated into the Tatar language took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The presentation brought together the representatives of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, creative and scientific intelligentsia, lecturers of higher educational institutions, students and journalists in the conference hall of the Institute of International Relations. Among the guests of honour were foreign participants in the anniversary celebrations, which were held in honour of the prominent poet in Turkmenistan, including the International Conference "Magtymguly Fraghi and Universal Cultural Values".
A deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, People's Writer of the Republic of Tatarstan Robert Minnullin, who received the honorary award of Turkmenistan - Medal of Magtymguly Pyragy, delivered a welcoming speech at the presentation. Expressing gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his significant selfless work on the study and worldwide promotion of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, the brilliant representative of which is Magtymguly Fraghi, the Tatar writer emphasized the imperishable importance of the literary legacy of the poet, who had a tremendous impact on the spiritual life of not only his people, but also all the peoples of the East.
The anniversary celebrations in honour of the outstanding poet, including this meeting of admirers of the outstanding poet, will significantly contribute to strengthening humanitarian and cultural relations and creative contacts between different peoples and promote good neighbourly relations and mutual understanding between them.
A vivid illustration of the aforesaid was an exhibition of new collected poems by Magtymguly translated into different languages of the world, research papers of Turkmen and foreign scientists on the literary heritage of the poet, souvenir editions and paintings and pieces of applied arts devoted to Magtymguly, which was arranged in the foyer of the Institute building.
