International University of humanitarian sciences and development is founded. The higher educational establishment will be located in the Turkmen capital, studies will be started on 2014-2015 academic year.
As was noted during today’s enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, yearly this institution is intended for enrollment of 300 students that will study 14 specialties. Studies will be conducted in English language and on the paid basis. In this connection a one year language learning course is foreseen. There will be 5 faculties, 11 sections and 13 departments in the new university. The work on solving of organizational issues, preparation of educational plans, invitation of teachers from abroad is being conducted.
The President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree on foundation of International University of humanitarian sciences and development in view of preparation of highly-qualified specialists, corresponding to the world standards of educational system.
By the special Resolution the Head of the state approved the structure of the International University of humanitarian sciences and development, and prescribed to put the University into operation beginning from June 1, 2014 and carry out studies in it in English language.
On accordance with documents the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan is prescribed to prepare jointly with higher educational establishment the University Charter within one month period, prepare and submit educational plans to approval to the corresponding Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, organize invitation of foreign teachers and specialists. The Ministry of Education jointly with the Ministry of Economy and development will define the payment amount for students.
The foundation of the institution will facilitate the increase of foreign languages studies. As the President of Turkmenistan has noted, in this view it is also necessary to create several schools with studies in English, German and French languages. And with the purpose of preparation of volunteers for forthcoming Asiada-2017 there will be organized special courses of foreign languages at the higher educational institutions.
