The V International Gas Congress and Exhibition opened in the Avaza National tourism zone. The forum is organized by the Turkmengaz State Concern and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
Over 500 delegates from 39 world countries take part in the forum. Among them are the heads of ministries and departments, diplomatic representations and missions accredited in Turkmenistan, authoritative international organzations as well as scientists and experts, representatives of 150 leading oil and gas companies from America, Europe, and Asia, and foreign journalists.
The opening ceremony of the international exhibition took place at the Seyrana Hotel in the morning. Heads, experts and specialists of leading foreign companies and Turkmen sectoral enterprises and associations attended the ceremony.
The exhibition showcased raw materials as well as production and processing potential of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan and prospects of its development. During the exhibition, foreign participants were provided with an opportunity to make the presentations of their achievements in the sphere of energy that established a platform for exchanging experience, enhancing potential of cooperation and implementing joint projects.
Heads of sectoral ministries of foreign countries, US Department of States as well as a number of world leading oil and gas companies presented their reports during the first day of work of the gas congress. Specialists of the structural subdivisions of the Turkmen fuel and energy complex and core institutions told about potential of the gas production and professing industry of the country.
Particular attention during the forum was paid to the chemical processing of the natural gas components.
