Conference entitled “Attained boundaries and international cooperation in the sphere of nature protection in the prosperous epoch of the powerful state” was held in the conference hall of Agricultural complex of Turkmenistan in honor of World Environment Day, being widely observed all over the planet.
Leading scientists, experts, specialists of nature conservation structures and sectoral departments, national parliament of the country took part in the conference. The representatives of the largest international and regional organizations – United Nations Development Program (UNDP), UN Regional Center for preventive diplomacy for the Central Asia, World Bank, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), German Society for international cooperation (GIZ), Agency for cooperation and coordination of Republic of Turkey (TIKA) also participated and made a speech in the meeting. Foreign participants of seminar entitled “Integration of eco-system services into plans of development”, being held in these days in Ashgabat within the framework of regional project of EU and GIZ “Flermoneca – forest and biodiversity governance including environmental monitoring” became the guests of the forum.
In the reports of participants, it was covered the leading experience of Turkmen ecologists and specialists, attainments of our country in realization of major programs and projects aimed at preservation and augmentation of national natural resources, maintenance of ecological wellbeing.
Within the framework of ecological forum, it was held solemn awarding ceremony of valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to more distinguished workers of nature conservation sphere, who made ponderable contribution to the field of preservation and augmentation of natural resources of native land.
