A seminar aimed at the further improvement of the national financial reporting standards (NFRS) is being held with the assistance of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ashgabat these days.
Leading specialists of the Ministry of Finance and the state-owned insurance companies of our country are participating in the seminar. The sessions and presentations are conducted by an international expert Valeria Getman, who has extensive experience in cooperation with Turkmen specialists in developing training manuals for Turkmenistan’s financial sector under the projects funded by the UN, EU and USAID.
It was emphasized that Turkmenistan was building up fruitful cooperation with the major international organisations, including USAID, in the financial sector, demonstrating a responsible approach to achieve the objectives of establishing the modern financial reporting systems which facilitate international cooperation in the financial, economic, fiscal, banking, credit and insurance sectors.
Participants will learn about the international practices in accounting standards and various aspects of financial reporting during the seminar, which will last till the end of the week.
