Turkmen sportsmen go on to gladden with their high results at the large contests of international level. This time, masters of sambo and weightlifters have distinguished.
At the Asian Sport and Martial Sambo Championship, which is held these days in the capital of Uzbekistan – Tashkent, the Turkmen sportsmen won 10 awards – 2 – gold and 8 – bronze.
High training level of our sportsmen and significance of their current successes is underlined with the fact that over 350 wrestlers from 17 countries – Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, United Arab Emirates, Syria, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and others take part in these competitions.
Pleasant news also came from capital of Tatarstan – Kazan (Russian Federation), where world weight lifting championship is held. Our compatriot Dayanch Ashirov won bronze prize in weight class up to 77 kilograms.
In these days, other representatives of national team of Turkmenistan will compete for prizes of world weight lifting championship. Competitions will go on till June 28.
