Asian Sport and Martial Sambo Championship held in the capital of Uzbekistan – Tashkent has completed with triumphal success for the Turkmen sportsmen, who won 27 medals, including 6 gold, 5 silver and 16 bronze.
P. Byashimov (weight class up to 65 kilograms) and N. Muhiddinova (up to 56 kg) are among the youngest winners.
O. Pashiyeva (up to 40 kg), U. Nazarova (up to 48 kg), D. Rozykulova (up to 60 kg) won silver medals, A. Khajiyev (up to 48 kg), M. Kossekov (up to 56 kg), D. Jumamuradova (up to 44 kg) and A. Khalyllayeva (up to 52 kg) won bronze.
In the group of juniors in the composition of Turkmen national team, A. Yalkapova (up to 48 kg) raised the highest step of podium. G. Khangeldiyev (up to 57 kg), B. Meretgeldiyev (up to 68 kg) and M. Yegemberdiyeva (over 80 kg) were awarded with bronze medals.
In adult age group, the gold medals were gained by K. Allanurov (up to 57 kg) and G. Babamuratova (up to 52 kg). Six of Turkmen residents won the third places in different weight classes – N. Shahmuradov, S. Ayrapetyan, N. Yalkapov, M. Babakuliyeva, Z. Madraimova and G. Khaitbayeva.
Another gold medal of D. Madaminov (up to 100 kg) became his contribution to the sport attainments of Turkmenistan. He became a winner in martial version of sambo. K. Dovletov (up to 62 kg), S. Ayrapetyan (up to 74 kg) won the silver medals, and A. Babayev (up to 68 kg), M. Atajanov (up to 82 kg) and Ch. Annagurbanov (up to 90 kg) won bronze medals.
