Windsurfing World Cup determined the first leaders

The 3rd stage of Windsurfing World Cup is going on in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” on the basis of “Yelken” yacht club. Today, it was held a regular race, which determined the first leaders of competitions, where the sportsmen from such countries as Argentina, Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Japan, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela as well as Turkmen sportsmen take part in.


In the first stage of race, Bern Dankerbek from Germany, who became the world champion in different disciplines of windsurfing more than 40 times and has many records on establishment of speed on open water, as well as the French sportsman Entoni Albo - repeated winner of various world championships, owner of the title “Best windsurfer of the planet” suffered a setback.

As opposed to male group of participants, which reached only semifinal stage, the girls have completed the first round of competitions. Mio Anayama (Japan), who heads the table, showed the best result. Spanish girl Maria Andres is on the second place, and Valeri Arigetti, representing the team of France, - on the third place. Perhaps most eminent athlete among girls – reigning world champion on slalom Delfine Sousin from France takes the fourth place in the first round of the competitions.
