A scientific and practical conference took place at the Ak Bugday National Museum on the eve of the big national holiday Gala Bayramy, which is widely celebrated in our country in honour of agricultural workers - grain growers. The forum organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Turkmengallaonumlery State Association, and public organizations of the country was dedicated to the successes achieved by the national agricultural industry in enhancing the food abundance in our country.

The meeting brought together heads and representatives of agricultural complex, leading specialists, scientists of the agricultural industry, and workers of research institutes affiliated to the agricultural sector, teachers and students of the higher educational institutions in the country. Among the guests of honour were agricultural workers, and labour veterans, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital from different regions of our country to take part in the conference.


It has become a good tradition to hold the forum upon completion of the annual grain harvesting campaign at the Ak Bugday National Museum, which was erected on the territory of one of the ancient centres of the agricultural culture world-known as the Jeytun culture.

Upon completion of the plenary meeting, the work of the conference continued in sectional sessions held at the building of the Agricultural complex in Ashgabat. The meetings’ agenda focused on the important issues of development of the agrarian industry.

The ceremony of awarding best grain growers and winners of the traditional contest among rural workers. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, monetary awards and valuable presents were awarded to best machine operators and grain growers from each region of the country.

The exhibition of achievements of the agroindustrial complex was arranged at the foyer.
