The Office of the UN Population Fund in Turkmenistan organized a roundtable discussion with the participation of deputies of Turkmen Parliament and specialists of numerous departments of Turkmenistan.

The discussion was held in two sessions. The first session was dedicated to the presentation of the UNFPA's Concept Note on Population and Development Beyond 2014. During the second session the participants discussed the outcomes of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), which the delegation of Turkmenistan had taken part in.

This year marks 20th anniversary the Programme of Action (ICPD) that is signed by 179 countries, including Turkmenistan.
