The heads of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and the representatives of Slovenia’s business circles held bilateral meetings at the Mizan Business Centre in the Turkmen capital. The meeting participants discussed the ways to intensify bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors and identified the most promising areas for partnership.

Focusing of the benefits of promoting effective partnership in the transport sector, the members of the Slovenian delegation agreed that the favourable geographical location allowed Turkmenistan and Slovenia to play a critical role in building and developing transit transport corridors between Asia and Europe.

The meeting participants confirmed the strong mutual interest in fostering a constructive international dialogue and building up mutually beneficial cooperation for the benefit of the two states and nations.

As was reported, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor have held fruitful talks in Ashgabat this week.
