Within the framework of cooperation of the Turkmen National Institute of democracy and human rights at the President of Turkmenistan and Representative office of UN Population Fund in Turkmenistan, get-to-know-you visit to France for representatives of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan was held in July of the current year. The trip was organized by Representative office of UN Population Fund in Turkmenistan in close assistance of Embassy of France in Turkmenistan. Main purpose of the visit is the exchange of experience on training and practical realization of national action plans on gender equality as well as study of mechanism of monitoring of their fulfillment.

Members of delegation of Turkmenistan familiarized in detail with legislative basis of gender politics of the country as well as with concrete mechanisms and procedures of its realization. Within the framework of program, it was held the meetings at the Ministry for women affairs, Ministry of National Education, higher Council of Gender equality, Interdepartmental mission on protection of women - victims of violence and fight against human traffic, Ombudsman Office of France, Delegation of National Assembly for women’s rights, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Federation of women’s solidarity, city hall of Paris as well as other structures involved into activity on realization of equal rights and possibilities of men and women.
