It was announced the international tender for construction of exhibition hall of Turkmenistan as the participant of the World Universal Exhibition “EXPO-2015” to be held in Milan from May 1 to October 31 of the next year.
Tender is held by Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will receive the proposals until August 20. Besides construction of exhibition hall, the company-contractor will also realize the support of its functional activity during World Exhibition.
Design-project of national exhibition hall was submitted the day before at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. On total 1175-square meter area, it will be constructed two-storey building designed in national style with use of traditional symbolism in combination with modern technologies.
In the exposition, over 50 ministries and departments of Turkmenistan will represent their stands. Moreover, there is café, offering the dishes of national cuisine, offices and VIP-rooms on the first floor of the exhibition hall. It was envisaged a stage with large screen for performances of masters of arts of Turkmenistan and show of designer's collection of national cloth. On the second floor, besides stands and exposition of Turkmen carpets, it is planned to construct 5D- video shop with screen, providing a viewing angle 180 degrees. On the roof of building, it will be set a white yurta as traditional national symbol and green area for recreation.
Motto of “EXPO-2015” is “Let’s feed the planet: energy for the sake of life”. Taking into account the multi-aspect agenda of World Review, it is planned to organize the complex national exposition of our country, presenting comprehensively the experience and successes of Turkmenistan in this sphere, attainments of various sectors of national economy, historic-cultural heritage, rich agro-industrial and export potential as well as experience of solution of ecological and social issues. Preliminary motto of the Turkmen section “EXPO-2015” is “Food abundance – peaceful development”. It is also worked out its logotype and samples of souvenirs with national emblem.
