World Taekwondo Championship (ITF version) among juniors and veterans takes place in the capital of Tajikistan – Dushanbe. National team of Turkmenistan also takes part in it. On the first day of their performance, one of our compatriots – Orazmurad Chariyev was able to distinguish in the discipline “complex exercises” (tuli) in the individual event, having won bronze medal.

Our compatriots also have to compete in the individual, team and exhibition duels, team tuli, breaking of hard subjects as well as in disciplines “self-defense” and “special technique”. Turkmenistan will first represent its sportsmen at the world championship in the group of girls and in competitions among veterans of sports.

Another pleasant news was received from Congress of International Taekwondo Federation ITF, which is traditionally held in the days of world championship. At this forum, where the heads of National Federations and outstanding masters of taekwondo took part in, Turkmen coach Aydogdy Atabayev was awarded with regular – VII dan of taekwondo.
