Turkmen sportsmen won three gold, one silver, and six bronze medals at the international tournaments in fencing in Turkey and Macedonia.

In Struga, Macedonia our sportsmen competed with 100 fencers from ten countries. Serdar Bayramov defeated his rivals from Greece, Macedonia, and Serbia and achieved the best result in men’s sabre event. Ahmet Agaev won the gold medal in men’s epee event. Our compatriot defeated athletes from Macedonia, Finland, and Vyacheslav Voronin from Ashgabat, who won the silver medal.

It should be also noted that the men’s national team of Turkmenistan won the first place.

Mengli Gounlyeva won a bronze medal in women’s epee event.

In the second international tournament in fencing in Istanbul, the national team of Turkmenistan demonstrated the best result - our compatriots - V. Voronin, S. Bayramov, and A. Agaev won one gold, and two bronze medals.

S. Bayramov also one a gold medal in men’s sabre event. Aylar Melikova and Maria Karpova too two third places in women’s sabre event.
