The seventh day of the autumn racing season took place at the equestrian sports complexes throughout the country. 70 Ahalteke horses competed at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex.
Among the prizes established in honour of renowned Turkmen horse breeders and horses were the awards of the derby category, the Big Ashgabat Prize and the Big Ahal Prize.
Three-year-old horses competed for the Big Ashgabat Prize in the 2,400 meter races. Garazat ranked the first in this round with the result of 2 minutes 53.2 seconds.
Four-year-old and elder horses competed for the Big Ahal Prize in the 3,200 meter races. The renowned horses Shahyrmerdan and Gyokhan achieved the best result in this round. Having outpaced the rival for a split second, Shahyrmerdan was the first to breast the finishing tape with the result of 3 minutes 52.2 seconds. Gyokhan run the race for 3 minutes 52.3 seconds.
