Solemn opening ceremony of School cultural-sport festival of the countries of Commonwealth of Independent States started in “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.
Forum was organized by State Committee of Turkmenistan for sports, Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, and State Committee of Turkmenistan for tourism jointly with All-Russian Federation of school sports.
Children, who arrived in our country from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, as well as young Turkmen residents from different parts of Motherland became the participants of the large holiday.
Organizers did their best to make the days spent by young sportsmen in our land really unforgettable. During two days they spent in Ashgabat prior to the opening of the festival, the children had a time not only to familiarize with the sights of the Turkmen capital, but also to make friends, open their talents, taking part in numerous contests, competitions and concerts.
Then, children left for the sea, National Tourist Zone “Avaza”. Over 100 young delegates became the guests of comfortable hotel “Seyrana”. Conditions created here allowed the children to feel at home, enjoying wonderful rest and participating with great pleasure in cultural-sport events. Comfortable rooms, swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, grounds for games and other sport structures, clean sandy beaches on the coast of the sea were envisaged for interesting and full-fledged recreation.
Gala concert of the festival held on main stage of Avaza – in amphitheater near huge sea fountain became impressive solute of talents, rainbow of childhood and creativity. Festive parade of its participants through area with fountains to the variety stages at very edge of the sea became introductory chord of the festival. The spectators warmly welcomed all representatives of participating countries. Greetings to the hosts of the festival sound in different languages.
Program of the festive concert included stirring national songs, dances and melodies performed by soloists and ensembles of the participating countries, as well as joint numbers.
Pure and ringing voices of children sounded in different languages, original ethnic motives have interlaced with classic melodies and popular variety beats.
Sport numbers, which idea is simple – sport unites people like the art, were real theatrical performance. It is another reliable bridge of peace and friendship. Children, in turn, were able to realize this idea excellently.
Turkmen folk dance “kushtdepdi” inspiredly performed by all participants of the festival became apotheosis of the festive event.
