IX International book exhibition-fair “Book – the path for cooperation and progress” was completed in Ashgabat, in the capital’s “Sergi koshgi”.
Scale exposition opened colorful world and high level of design of publishing novelties, samples of book art and printing, printing innovations and electronic know-how. Publishers of Russia, USA, China, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Turkey, Republic of Korea, Iran, India, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan presented their stands.
In numerous exhibition halls, wonderful sets of artistic, children’s, informative and main literature, richly illustrated books on art and history, separate volumes and serial publications of the classics of world literature, encyclopedias, photo albums, souvenir products have been presented for attention of visitors.
Within the framework of international forum, it was held scientific conference. Representatives of departments of culture, printing and information as well as California and Oxford Universities, Moscow State Printing University named after Ivan Fyodorov, MSU, Russian Interregional Association of Printing workers and Association of book publishers, Chinese Society for collective management of copyrights of literary productions, “National book foundation” (Pakistan) and others took part in it.
Meeting participants have familiarized with experience of development of publishing sector in different countries, introduction of the newest technologies into production of book and other printing products. It was expressed the proposals in realization of joint projects on creation of e-archives of productions of the national literatures in official languages of international communication as well as programs on mutual literary translations in magazine and newspaper editorial boards.
At the solemn closing ceremony of the forum, its participants were awarded with certificates and diplomas in corresponding nomination and memorable presents.
