Our compatriot – the weightlifter Jasurbek Jumayev in the Asian Games in the Korean city Inchon was in the top five of the strongest weightlifters of Asia in weight class up to 94 kilograms.
To date, after exercise in snatch, the Turkmen resident took the fourth position in the table with result 161 kg. In the second discipline (jerk), our compatriot jerked the bar of 195 kg at first dash. In the subsequent approaches, he took the decisive measures, having increased the weight of bar by 10 kg that in the case of success guaranteed him the place in the podium. But in spite of huge desire and concentration of all efforts, the 205-kilogram sport bar (it exceeds twice the weight of sportsman) couldn’t be subdued by the Turkmen weightlifter. As the result, D. Jumayev won the fifth place.
But this result is also not bad, taking into account the concept among strongest weightlifters of the Asian part of the continent. Experience adopted in the Asian Games will be undoubtedly useful for our compatriot in the regular competitions of high international level – qualified world weight lifting championship to be held at the end of current year in the Kazakh city – Almaty. At the upcoming championship of the planet, it will be competed for the first starts to the Olympic Games of 2016.
It will be recalled that in the current Asian Games, besides fifth place of D. Jumayev, our compatriots twice were a step from medals, winning the honorable fourth place. This result was gained by the fourfold participant of the Olympic Games Umurbek Bazarbayev (up to 62 kg) and Rejepbai Rejepov (up to 77 kg).
VII Asian Games are going on. On September 26, another weighlifter – master of sports of international class Khojamuhammet Toychiyev will appear on Inchon platform. He will perform in the weight class over 105 kilograms.
