In the Korean Inchon, where XVII Asian Games are completed, it was held the final fights on boxing and immediately after them – the awarding ceremony of winners and prize-winners. Residents of Turkmenistan Aziz Bebitov and Serdar Hudaiberdiyev – owners of the bronze medals in weight classes up to 64 and 69 kilograms correspondingly were among them.
The representatives of National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan and Organizing Committee of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial arts were invited for the awarding ceremony. It is great honor for representatives of organizations, which made notable contribution to the development of international sport movement.
In the last years, Turkmenistan considerably gains the status of sport state, where healthy life-style became priority of the state policy. Owing to the state programs, promotion and development of sport of high attainments became the guidance to the action for every sport section even in the remotest settlements.
Soon, unprecedented to scales construction in the Central Asian region – Olympic Township, which will host in 2017 V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts, will be opened in our capital.
Already today, this sport forum makes known that it expanded the geography of participants. So, teams of Australia and countries of Oceania will participate for the first time in the history of Asian Games, including in classic (on Olympic kinds of sport), in complex of competitions in Ashgabat.
In the last year, Turkmenistan received the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia, which will fly in V Asian Games, here in the Korean Inchon. Today, Turkmen sport organizers participated in the awarding ceremony of the leading sportsmen of the planet, including our compatriots.
… Let us remind that the Turkmen boxers on the way to medals held 3 fights each, having won excellent victories in two fights. According to the words of Honored Coach of Turkmenistan, main coach of national team on boxing Shohrat Kurbanov, the current competitions in Inchon demonstrated not only high level of Turkmen school of boxing, but also helped to reveal all weak and strong qualities of our sportsmen. It is very important, because already in next year, the Turkmen residents have to enter the fight for participation in the Olympic Games of 2016 in Brazil. Prior to these qualified competitions, there is enough time for development of essential sport skills in order that our boxers appeared in the tournaments with participation of the strongest sportsmen of the planet at the highest form.
If boxers have to demonstrate only their sport skills, then the Turkmen successors of taekwondo (WTF version) and karate have to find cardinally new approach to the training process as the current Games demonstrated that we considerably yield in this kind of sport. WTF version will be represented in the program of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts.
So, XVII Asian Games come to an end. Tomorrow, its closing ceremony will be held on the arena of main stadium of Inchon. But soon, the fire of Asian Games will blaze up again, having called for fight the sportsmen for medals on Paralympic program. National team of Turkmenistan will also take part in these games to be held from October 18 to 24.
