A meeting of working group of XII World Belt Wrestling Championship to be held in Ashgabat from November 18 to 23 took place in the conference hall of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for sports.
The representatives of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for sports, Executive Committee of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts, Federation of belt kinds of wrestling of Turkmenistan, State Committee for tourism, ministries of internal affairs, health, trade and foreign economic ties, education as well as sport coaches took part in the work of the meeting.
Its participants have discussed various issues, including connected with organization of the cultural program for participants and guests of the championship.
The representatives of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for sports and National Federation of belt kinds of wrestling started to prepare for World Championship in advance. So, in summer of the current year, the referee's seminar for sport wrestling on belts with participation of the leading specialists of this kind of sport from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was held in the Turkmen capital.
Turkmen specialists used the accumulated knowledge in practice during open belt wrestling championship of Turkmenistan held upon completion of the seminar on the basis of sport complex “Galkynysh”.
After national championship, it was conducted the analysis of actions of referee’s crews. More professionally distinguished referees received from International Federation of belt kinds of wrestling the certificates, approving the relevant referee’s categories. The results of the competitions demonstrated again not only due level of training of the Turkmen sport specialists, but also the fact that our country is ready to host the high-level contests.
Over 300 sportsmen from nearly 30 countries will take part in the upcoming World Belt Wrestling Championship. In the course of the competitions, it will be played 27 sets of medals in four disciplines – Turkmen national wrestling “goresh”, free and classic styles as well as among women.
It is worth underlining that World Belt Wrestling Championship will be held for the first time. For higher efficiency and performance of upcoming competitions, it was introduced several correctives into regulations of the national wrestling, which correspond today with generally accepted international sport standards.
So, several days remain till championship of the planet. And fans of this sport wait for this event with impatience.
