Round-table meeting organized by the representative office of United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country and devoted to the 25th anniversary since adoption of Convention on children’s rights and celebration of the Day of human rights was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The representatives of UNICEF and other relevant international organizations, several ministries and departments of our country, including the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, Ministry of Education, Turkmen National Institute of Democracy and Human Rights at the President of Turkmenistan, State Committee for Statistics, social organizations of our country, mass media and others took part in the meeting.

As it was noted, cooperating actively with many authoritative international structures, including with UNICEF, our country demonstrate to entire world the most responsible approach to the issues of creation of more favorable conditions of life for growing generation, whose welfare is priority of the state policy.

In the course of the meeting, it was emphasized practical steps within twenty-year period since ratification of aforementioned Convention in Turkmenistan, including improvement of legislative system in the field of childhood, protection of rights of mother and child.
