Opening of Specialized chess and draughts school intended for 350 pupils was opened in the Turkmen capital. In this sport-training institution, the devotees of intellectual kinds of sport, besides chess and draughts, will also develop their skills, training in national game “duzzim”.
Three- storey building of the school included the classrooms fitted with the latest multimedia equipment and interactive boards; two big halls for competitions, where it will be possible to hold not only national tournaments, but also the championships of the world and Asia. In special place allotted under museum, it is presented a rich history of development of intellectual kinds of sport in our country, numerous attainments of the Turkmen athletes on the international sport arena. There is also the specialized library, classrooms for trainings, gym and hall for holding competitions among those, who have the highest sport title of grand master.
In the hall for holding of competitions, the guests were welcomed by hundreds of young and already eminent Turkmen chess players, including the champions of Turkmenistan, winners and prize-winners of the large international competitions.
Byagul Ezizova was among them. Recently, she returned from World Chess Championship among schoolchildren held in the Brazilian city Juiz de Fora. Being in the age group under 9 years old, where nearly 40 strongest chess players of the planet have competed for medals, our young compatriot won the title of the champion of the world!
On behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Byagul Ezizova received today a memorable gift. Gifts of the head of state were also presented to the brother of Byagul – Muhammed Ezizov, who was on the top ten of the strongest athletes at World Championship in Brazil in age group under 11 years old, as well as to Rustam Nazarov and Mengli Ovezova, who won gold and silver medals correspondingly at the Asian Championship among juniors, which was held in the last month in the Indian city – New Delhi.
Four-year-old Hatyja Ezizova, who also competes for medals at the tournaments of national level, received a prize as the youngest chess player of Turkmenistan.
In the last days of passing year, the national tournaments on chess and draughts will be held among children at new school.
