The second National Hockey Championship, the matches of which are held on the ice arenas of the Winter Sports Complex and the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, started in the country.
Eight teams including the winner of the first championship of the country HC Galkan, the winner of 2014 Turkmenistan President's Cup HC Shir, the silver winner of this international tournament HC Oguzkhan, HC Nesil, HC Merdana, HC Alp Arslan and HC Burgut compete for the gold medals.
In the first two matches, HC Galkan defeated 6-3 HC Nesil, and HC Oguzkhan defeated 4-0 HC Burgut. The tournament will last for several months and will finish in June.
Moreover, at present, Turkmen hockey players are preparing for another national tournament that will be held in February on occasion of the Turkmen Flag Day.
