Turkmenistan-Croatia Business Forum held in Ashgabat turned into exchange of views on the potential and prospects for the further development of bilateral cooperation. A representative delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Branko Grcic arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the business meeting. Among the forum participants are representatives of the government agencies from the friendly country and leading companies specializing in shipbuilding, energy, oil and gas industries, transport, construction and other sectors.
Representatives of the ministries and departments, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs represented the Turkmen side at the business forum.
Speaking during the forum, the head of the delegation of the Republic of Croatia expressed the keen interest of the Croatian side in widening cooperation with Turkmenistan.
The presentations made by the Turkmen and Croatian delegations focused on the national economies and the prospects for cooperation, which meet the interests of the two states and peoples given the modern realities.
The comprehensive information on the economic potential and achievements of the independent neutral Turkmen state and the promising areas of cooperation given the state priorities for development was presented during the forum.
It was also noted that trade and economic partnership between entrepreneurial organisations opened up wide opportunities. In this regard, the members of the Croatian delegation were briefed on the spheres of development of the private sector in Turkmenistan that served as a key element of the national economic strategy.
Joint projects and areas of further cooperation were discussed during bilateral meetings between representatives of ministries, departments and private sector of Turkmenistan and the government agencies and companies of the Republic of Croatia.
