The Coordination Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) held the first meeting of Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the preparations for the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games, which will take place in Ashgabat in 2017.
Representatives of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Sports of Turkmenistan and the Executive Committee and the Organizing Committee of the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games participated in the meeting, which was held in the Olympic Village that is designed for 8,500 athletes.
The meeting participants discussed the issues relating to the use and maintenance of sports facilities in the Olympic Village, organization of trainings for volunteers, who are required to know foreign languages, provision of quality Internet services, preparation of Turkmen sportsmen for upcoming competitions, etc.
The meeting participants also discussed the preparations for a regular meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia General Assembly in Ashgabat that will focus on the results of the preliminary stage of preparations for the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games.
