Another international route has replenished the list of the State National Service “Turkmenhowayollary”. It was opened a regular air communication between Ashgabat and Riga (Latvia). Comfortable airliner “Boeing 737-800”, accommodating 160 passengers, will run between two cities with frequency once a week.
Tickets for new flight are in great demand among passengers that testifies about demand of the route. National and foreign tourist firms showed great interest in it. It is not ruled out that in future, the frequency of flights will be twice a week.
Important advantage for passengers, flying to Riga, consists in the fact that connection of the flights, being made by “Turkmenhowayollary” SNS to this city of Latvia, with the flights to Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand) and Dubai (UAE) will give an opportunity to citizens of Latvia to realize the transit flights to the states of Asia. In future, the realization of this flight is planned to be extended through Riga to Toronto (Canada).
