Since February 12, Turkmenistan opened direct air communication with the capital of Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur. It is symbolic that the representatives of national tourism industry became the first passengers of new air flight.
Within the framework of a working visit of the delegation of our country, a business forum was held in the Malaysian Tourist Business Center, where it was held the presentation of bilateral tourism possibilities.
Officials and leading specialists of the largest structures of this sector, particularly Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Malaysia, Malaysian Association of tour operators and travel agencies, several core companies and their Turkmen colleagues – the representatives of the State Committee for tourism and its subdivisions in the provinces, private enterprises took part in the forum.
Main topic of the meeting became the prospects of development of tourism industry in the aspect of its global tendencies and national projects, medium-term and long-term programs worked out in Turkmenistan and Malaysia.
Specialists of tourism industry and aviation of Turkmenistan were invited to participate in the international exhibition, being organized annually by Malaysian Association of tour operators and travel agencies (MATTA). It will be held in March.
For further expansion of partnership, the Malaysian professionals of tourism business were also invited to participate in the large events, being held in Turkmenistan, including in the international tourist exhibition and conference “Tourism and travels” to be held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” in September.
With a view of closer familiarization with tourism sphere of Malaysia, a program on detailed investigation of a complex of services for travelers, beginning from excursions to the sights, work of accompanying guide, hotel service until subtlety of national cuisine was prepared for the Turkmen delegation.
