The 23rd football championship of Turkmenistan among teams of major league started in the Turkmen capital with match ITTU – “Balkan”.
As in the last year, ten clubs compete for the medals of the national championship, being held in four rounds. Only the composition of participants underwent changes: “Energetic” from Mary and “Hazyna” team of the Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management debuted at the championship in place of “Bagtiyarlyk-Lebap” and “Talyp sporty”.
The only goal scored after eight minutes by forward of ITTU Pirmurad Sultanov decided the fate of the first match. He responded in time to straddling pass from the left flank, having become the author of the first scored goal of Championship of Turkmenistan – 2015.
The first round of the country’s championship will continue on March 6 with match “Ahal” – “Energetic”, and completed on March 7 with matches “Altyn asyr” – “Hazyna”, “Dashoguz” – “Shagadam” and “Merv” – “Ashgabat”.
As a result of championship, which finishes in autumn, the best team of Turkmenistan will get a right to play in 2016 in the second by significance Asian Club Tournament – Cup of AFC.
