Capital’s new chess and draughts school hosted the first national competitions. Here, it was held the Chess Championships of Turkmenistan in age groups under 10, 12, 16 and under 18 years old. Nearly 150 chess players from five provinces and Ashgabat took part in the intellectual contests.

In the youngest group of participants, the best training was demonstrated by Lebap chess players. In other three age groups, the representatives of Ashgabat sport chess school of the city sport committee became winners.
