The opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran took place in the Turkmen capital. The cultural event is organized by the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

The programme of a concert performed by the masters of culture and art of the Islamic Republic of Iran included folk melodies and songs, classical destans and lyric melodies.

An exhibition of fine, decorative and applied arts of the friendly country will be held at the Exhibition hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan in the framework of the Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in our country.

A folklore festival will be arranged at the Watan Cinema and Concert Centre and Ashgabat Cinema and Concert Centre will host a film festival.

The prospects for cooperation in the sphere of culture will be discussed during a meeting of the official delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of the cultural programme, Iranian guests will visit historical and cultural monuments of our country, museums and other sights in the Turkmen capital.
