Turkmen students won three silver and five bronze medals of the 9th International Mathematical Olympiad for University Students, which took place in Ohrid, Macedonia on March 3 - 8, 2015.
Over 90 students from 26 higher educational institutions in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Slovenia, the Republic of Macedonia, the Islamic Republic of Iran participated in this prestigious international contest.
A second-year student of the Department of Mathematics of Magtymguly Turkmen State University Ilshat Valiyev, a second-year student of the State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan Toremyrat Gurbanov and a third-year student of the Turkmen Agricultural University Eziz Kakyshov won silver medals.
Bronze medals were awarded to a third-year student of the Department of Mathematics of Magtymguly Turkmen State University Palvan Agamyradov, second-year students of the Department of Mathematics of Magtymguly Turkmen State University Babaniyaz Agambayev, Begench Akyyev and Agaserdar Yollyyev as well as a second-year student of the State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan Yhlas Gurbanov.
