Turkmen athletes achieved a double ‘silver’ success in the Tenth Kinder-Surprise Acrobatics Tournament for juniors under 16, which took place in Mogilev, Republic of Belarus. Our sportsmen, who performed in the quartet and pair events, rose at the second stage of the podium.
The quartet of young acrobats from Turkmenistan consisting of Ahmed Nazargulyev, Gairat Hojakov, Karlen Grigorian and Amirjan Arutyunian conceded only the representatives of the tournament hosts. The sportsmen coached by Honoured Coach of Turkmenistan Irina Kruglikova lost less than one point to their opponents and won silver medals.
The duet of Hezret Shirgulyev and Vladimir Kostyaev achieved success in the pair event. They managed to get ahead of the Belarusian athletes, who took third place, but they lost less than one point to the duet from the Republic of Moldova in the final.
This duet from Turkmenistan won prizes and awards of the international junior tournaments in previous years. These include the gold medals that they brought from Switzerland in 2011.
The young masters of acrobatics are currently preparing for the international tournament, which will take place from 8 to 12 April in Vitebsk, Republic of Belarus. The Acrobatics Championship of Turkmenistan, which will be held on the eve of this tournament, will determine the members of the national team, who will perform in Vitebsk.
