International Exhibition on floriculture and gardening opened today in the capital became the holiday of creative inspiration and beauty. It was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Specialized review of products of decorative and fruit gardening is held for the first time.
Head of the Parliament of the country, members of government, officials and representatives of the ministries and departments, social organizations and higher educational establishments of the country, diplomatic corps accredited to our country, businesspersons, mass media, student youth, professionals, devotees and admirers of flower cultivation art took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Multi-aspect exposition of fragrant flowers and bunches of flowers, decorative trees and bushes adorned the pavilions and stands of the state organizations and institutions, leading foreign companies and firms, being specialized in this sphere, as well as representatives of national entrepreneurship.
In spite of bright individual approach, inventiveness in selection of means and colors in the design of stands, all participants were unanimous in main task. It is the popularization and advancement of new sorts of plants, modern trends and methods of floristic design, landscape gardening of the territories, rendering the services in purchase of high-quality seedlings of floriculture, seeding of fruit and decorative species, means and equipment for landscape design, involvement of partners-professionals into realization of joint projects.
Pavilions of the Ministry of Nature of Turkmenistan and Institute of Biology and Medicinal plants of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan present the attainments in the field of preservation and augmentation of vegetable gene pool of the national nature reserves, research works on study of rare kinds of plants and endemics. Among key tasks of the scientists is the introduction of decorative plants into soil and climatic conditions of the regions of the country. Specialists of botanical garden, belonging to the Academic Institute, have a priority in spreading of coniferous, evergreen deciduous plants, which form today the foundation of green park zones and belts in the towns of the country and its vicinity.
Like galleries of decorative trees and bushes, there are stands with smart flower collections of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Communal Services, Unification of markets of Ashgabat of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign economic ties, State Commodity and Raw materials Exchange. Here, it was also presented the samples of mineral fertilizers, horticultural sundry.
National entrepreneurs make huge contribution to the development of the sector of floriculture and gardening, expansion of the spectrum of product proposals owing to introduction of new exotic kinds of flowers and trees, as well as services in the field of floristics, and landscape design.
Stands of the Turkmen and foreign companies turned into islands of the Garden of Eden, conquering with combination of natural harmony and skill of human hands. Masters – real enthusiast of their craft create the masterpieces of floristics from numerous beautiful and aromatic flowers, being delivered by the Dutch producers: orchids, tulips, hyacinth, olms, turmeric, gladiolus, palms, ferns, gypsophila, deep-bodied crevalle and many others gathered into amazing compositions.
In the second half of the day, a conference was held in the conference hall of Exhibition Center. In the course of this conference, it was discussed the prospective directions of development of floriculture and gardening in Turkmenistan, including the issues of export of Turkmen products to foreign market, establishment of cooperation with foreign partners in this sphere.
Exhibition will continue its work until March 27.
