International Exhibition on floriculture and gardening has completed in Ashgabat. Within its framework, it was held a conference devoted to the priority trends of cooperation in the issues of landscape gardening, introduction of more efficient modern technologies on care of green plantations.
Pavilions of the Ministries of Agriculture, Nature Protection, Trade and Foreign economic ties presented here their nurseries, which are engaged not only in planting of seedlings, but also work at creation by bioregulation of own seed fund of plants adapted to soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan.
It is worth mentioning the experience of nursery “Tokay hojalygy” of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign economic ties, which has 1500 hectares of land. Besides cultivation of seedlings, the nursery is engaged in hothouse farming as well.
Besides specialized stands devoted concretely to floriculture and gardening, the exhibition has demonstrated a rich spectrum of types of activity associated with it. At present, floristic design gained a rapid development – decoration of the interior with natural or artificial flowers. Such flower compositions created by the artists-florists are an integral part of the design of solemn events of any level.
It is also worth mentioning a special festive atmosphere, reigning in “Sergi koshgi” during whole three-day work of the forum. The expositions similar to flourishing carpets attracted the attention of numerous residents of Ashgabat and guests of the capital alongside with the specialists of the sector – foresters, agronomists, and gardeners. People came here with families in order to enjoy original sorts of roses, carnations, tulips, rare exemplars of hyacinth, olms, orchids and others.
Famous flower salons demonstrated at the exhibition the decorative plants for cultivation in home conditions, including ficuses, geranium, marigolds and others. Besides it, many visitors first had an opportunity to see with their own eyes the arbuscles grown in the flowerpots. Flower expositions were particularly popular for flower growers and summer residents, who got the consultations of the specialists on cultivation of plants. Some enthusiasts received as a gift the seeds and bulbs of rare flowers.
In the course of work of Ashgabat forum, it was held two-day conference as well as business meetings and presentations with a view of strengthening of available contacts and establishments of new business ties both at the international level and in the context of development of international cooperation.
In the reports delivered at the conference, it was touched upon wide range of topics on landscape gardening and accomplishment of the capital and its vicinities, vilayet centers, National Tourist Zone “Avaza”.
In the final day of the International review, the forum participants received relevant certificates and diplomas.
