Artistic Gymnastics Championship of Turkmenistan was held in the specialized sport school # 5 of Turkmenabat. It has hosted nearly 80 strongest masters of this kind of sport from the regions of the country. Traditionally, main competition for medals was expanded between the residents of Ashgabat and representatives of the home team.
Sportsmen competed for the title of the strongest gymnasts of the country in five standard groups – from III adult categories up to masters of sport. Male composition of participants competed in six disciplines of artistic gymnastics – vault, exercises on parallel bars, on rings, arm swing, on horizontal bar and free callisthenics. Sportsmen from Turkmenabat, who won all first places, demonstrated here the best sport training.
So, victories have been written to their credit: Marufjan Achilov (group of masters of sport), Maksat Maksidov (candidates for masters of sport), Begench Byashimov (I adult category), Ramazan Hasanov (II adult category) and Suleyman Bazarov (III adult category). Moreover, the hosts of Championship won practically all remain prize places: here, the gymnasts from Ashgabat were able to get only a silver – B. Myratjanov (I adult category).
Main secret of success of the Turkmenabad sportsmen is explained with modern sport basis as well as regular participation in the international training sessions. In particular, on the eve of the Championship of the country, the Lebap combined male team held the training sessions in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan).
Girls competed for medals of the Championship of Turkmenistan in four kinds of competitions - vault, exercises on uneven parallel bars, on balance beam and free callisthenics. Here, the residents of Ashgabat showed their best sport qualities, having won four first places of five. Maysa Kuliyeva (masters of sport), Sadap Berdiyeva (candidates for masters of sport), Aygul Matjiyeva (II adult category) and Lisana Sadrttinova (III adult category) have raised the highest stage of the podium.
Hosts of the competitions have distinguished with triumph only in group of gymnasts of I adult category. Here, main prize was gained by Zarina Narbayeva.
On April 1, mass physical-sport and socio-cultural events entitled “Health and happiness” start all over the country. They will last by the end of month. Within the framework of these events, another national artistic gymnastics tournament will be held in Turkmenabad sport school # 5 from April 18 to 19. Participants of the competitions, which have not entered into the list of prizewinners at the current Championship of Turkmenistan, will have good opportunity to hold return match. Cup of Turkmenistan will also take place here in May.
