The Interstate Commission for Water Coordination held its 66th session. Heads and specialists of core ministries and departments of the Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as well as representatives of the Execution Committee of the International Fund for saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) participated in the meeting.
Meeting participants considered the outcomes of the vegetation period in 2014-2015, approved water withdrawal limits and operation mode of the reservoir cascades of the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers for 2015 and discussed the project of the intergovernmental Agreement «On the information and analytical support of the integrated management, use and protection of water resources of the Aral Sea basin and organisation of the interstate exchange of information».
