Final meetings on Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling of the sixth Nationwide Sports Contest were held in new sport school of Yzgant village of Geokdepe etrap. Their results have not brought unexpectedness and surprises. The prizewinners have become those, who are well-known among fans of sport with persistence in trainings and desire to improve their mastery.
In Greco-Roman contests in team event, the combined teams of Ashgabat, Lebap and Dashoguz provinces were in top three.
Concerning the freestyle wrestling tournament among combined teams of the provinces and Ashgabat then deep passions arouse here. In the team event, the first place was awarded to wrestlers of Ashgabat, the second and third – to athletes of Balkan and Lebap provinces correspondingly.
In September of this year, the Turkmen wrestlers have to take part in the World Championship to be held in Las Vegas (USA). It will become the first qualifying competitions on the threshold of Olympic Games – 2016 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
